The State Police presence in Atlantic City dates back to our founding year, 1921. Since that time, Troopers from every generation have enforced the laws in “America’s Playground.”
From nabbing illegal alcohol during the Prohibition Era, and investigating Bruno and Gambino mobsters in the 1970’s, the State Police boasts a powerful reputation on the boardwalk in Atlantic City.
We’ve had great experiences in this town as well. Troopers have provided security at the Miss America Pageant for several decades. We have played host to foreign dignitaries along the boardwalk, and provided security for both Democratic and Republican National Conventions. Troopers have patrolled the ocean and the skies around Atlantic City during several airshows.
Since 1965, with the opening of the Atlantic City Expressway the daily presence of Troopers in “Monopoly City” became a mainstay.
On Saturday, October 2, 2021, we will look to reflect on our rich history as we celebrate an evening at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
With it’s bright lights illuminating our collective memories, this black-tie optional event will be one to remember in the Etess Arena. Enjoy live music from Central Park the Band, and the comedic entertainment from our master of ceremonies, Joe Piscopo.
The past will meet the present through our vintage uniform displays, staged vintage transportation, and an extravagant video production. Come enjoy an elegant evening and help celebrate this historic milestone.
We will honor the memory and sacrifice of our fallen Troopers, and listen to the battle rhythm tunes from the Pipes and Drums of the Blue and Gold. Reserve your place at this Centennial Gala!
