In commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the New Jersey State Police, the Anniversary Committee has designed a limited production challenge coin. This coin honors the First Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police, Colonel H. Norman Schwarzkopf.
Obverse – Relief of Colonel H. Norman Schwarzkopf with his signature displayed between the words “100th Anniversary” and the iconic New Jersey State Police patch.
Reverse – A replica of Colonel H. Norman Schwarzkopf’s badge with a silver eagle insignia positioned above, symbolizing his rank of Colonel. The banner below displays the New Jersey State Police core values: Honor, Duty, and Fidelity. The laurel wreath behind the badge signifies the crowning of a successful commander during his triumph. A total of 100 stars encircle the badge signifying the 100th Anniversary of the New Jersey State Police.
