The New Jersey Crime Scene Investigators Association (NJCSIA), the New Jersey Homicide Investigators Association (NJHIA), and the Troopers United Foundation (TUF) will hold their fourth annual Awards Banquet on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. The guests in attendance will include past graduates of the New Jersey Crime Scene Investigators Association’s seven-week school, Dignitaries, Members, and Detectives from Federal, State, County, and Municipal Law Enforcement Agencies, scientists from our Forensic Laboratories, and prosecutors from various agencies. In addition, we welcome anyone to attend the award dinner/comedy to show support for our law enforcement community. Nominees from multiple law enforcement agencies will receive awards for their outstanding efforts during a criminal investigation. The Association will also present a Lifetime Achievement Award to one of the attendees for their dedication and service throughout the years.
Attendees will also enjoy entertainment by TV /Radio Personality Bill Spadea, Comedian/Radio Personality Jill Myra, Comedian Steve Trevelise, Comedian Vinnie Brand, and music and entertainment from Chris Darlington, a country singer and law enforcement officer.
We will be honoring Bob Delaney with a lifetime achievement award for his service and dedication to the law enforcement community. Mr. Delaney is a former undercover New Jersey State Trooper and former NBA referee who officiated from the 1987-1988 NBA season until the 2010-2011 NBA season. He is an advocate for Law Enforcement resiliency and presents worldwide on operational stress awareness and self-care.
As part of the annual dinner, the net proceeds will be donated to the family of a law enforcement member who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Major Jeffrey Burke #5678, Commanding Officer of the Intelligence & Criminal Enterprise Section, succumbed to a 9/11-related illness contracted while serving in the line of duty in response to the World Trade Center terrorist attacks. Major Jeffrey Burke #5678 was a truly remarkable individual. He was a good person, loyal friend, brother, father, husband, and colleague. He lived a life of integrity and kindness and touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will forever remain in our hearts and will be missed. Godspeed Jeff. May you rest in peace now. The net proceeds will support his family via the Troopers United Foundation, a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization.
Ticket sales will end on February 15, 2025. The Hard Rock Hotel group rate / discounted hotel rooms will be discontinued on February 11, 2025.
