Family of Trooper Sugzda – Donation
$0.00
In March of this year, Trooper I Michael Sugzda #7550 and his family received devastating news that no expectant parent ever wishes to hear:
It was learned that their unborn child has been diagnosed with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). This condition occurs when the diaphragm fails to close during the baby’s development. Due to CDH, abdominal organs (to include the stomach, intestines and/or liver) travel into the chest. Given this movement of internal organs, the heart and lungs become directly affected. Babies diagnosed with CDH have smaller than average lungs and far less lung capacity. CDH requires specialized medical treatment, as well as surgeries pre delivery and post delivery.
The Sugzda Family, which includes 19 month old Cole Michael, are facing relocation to Philadelphia for a minimum of three months. They will be seeking all treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. They have a long road ahead of them with many unknowns. Additionally, there will be numerous ongoing costs in order to fully support the battle that lies ahead for their baby and the family as a whole.
Your donation will assist with alleviating the financial burden and will provide the support they need during this critical time. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant difference and brings hope for their baby’s journey to recovery. Please consider helping this brave little boy and his loving family.
